Veteran Biker Groups

After they leave the military, many veterans seek fun hobbies and distractions.  While some do look for part time or even new full time jobs, some take their retirement and enjoy it.  They take the time to jump into their hobbies and other interests with both feet.  Veteran motorcycle riders have all the time in the world to enjoy their bikes and go on long rides, and many do (sometimes much to their wives? annoyance).  While some of these veteran bikers join a standard motorcycle club, others join a club just for veteran biker groups.

Veteran biker groups have a few advantages  over general clubs.  The members of a general motorcycle club usually only ride on the weekends because most of them have jobs and other obligations.  However, veteran riders are free to ride during most days.  Even those with families and other obligations often have more free time for riding than others.  While these clubs don't usually host large events like some of the other biker groups do, they do often do a lot more riding, especially casual riding.  Some of these veteran bikers just get together daily to drink coffee, hang out, and chat about biking, motorcycle repair, and the newest bikes to hit the market.

Sometimes there are age restrictions or other qualifications to join one of these veteran riding groups.  Other times, the group is mostly made up of veterans but others are allowed to join, too.  Most of these veteran biker groups are pretty easy-going, and they don't have very many rules or restrictions on their riders.  If you're a military veteran and are looking for some like-minded bikers to hang around with, look for a veteran biker group in your area.
