Daytona Bike Week is starting on March 10th! That's next week at the time of me writing this. I put the kids and the wife in the car and we went out exploring the roads. I've been in this town for 18 years now and I have to say I found the most amazing place today. It's called Washington Oaks State Park.
You get there by driving north on A1A from Daytona. It is a very scenic ride! We drove all the way to the High Bridge Intersection. Took the High Bridge Road which is a very scenic curvy road. Drive down that road a little and you want to look for a right turn sign that says John Anderson HWY. Take your right turn and follow that road all the way to the next traffic lights where you'll make another right turn and go over the bridge back to A1A. When you get to A1A intersection make a left to continue North and enjoy the scenery until you get to Washington Oaks State Park.
It's the best $5 you'll spend. Beautiful Garden, Amazing Oak Trees. You'll easily kill 2 hours admiring it's beauty. I highly recommend all Bikers coming down to Daytona for Bike Week to check it out. The Ride is Awesome! A1A is fully repaired after it's collapse from the last hurricane we had a few months ago. Take my advise, don't leave Daytona without stopping by Washington Oaks State Park
