Ways of Customizing Your Motorcycle

Everyone wants their motorcycle to stand out and look a little different from everyone else's.  While customizing your biking gear with motorcycle patches and adding a cool helmet cover is easy, customizing your bike takes a little more work.  This is because you may actually have to take your bike apart and replace pieces of it.  There are some easy things you can do, such as add decals or put custom license plate bolts on it, but if you really want to get people's attention, you'll need to do more.  Here are some ways of customizing your motorcycle.

Paint it.  If you're artistic, you may be able to do this yourself.  If not, you can probably find a good body shop in your area.  You can have just about anything painted on your motorcycle, from flames to eagles to a sexy woman.  Make it something that fits with your personality and coordinates with your patches and other decorations.

Change your handlebars for custom ones.  Handlebars actually come in many different shapes, sizes, and styles.  Some make a bike look leaner and faster, while others make it look more opulent.  You can pretty easily change handlebars yourself, or you can have a professional do it if you don't feel comfortable working on your bike.

You could also add highway pegs.  This can actually help your riding, too, especially if you ride for long hours at a time.  If you've got long legs, you'll want to place highway pegs towards the front of your bike so you can stretch out.

Another comfort option is to change the seat, especially if you find it uncomfortable.  You'll find custom seats that are slightly different shapes, have more or less padding, and are done in different upholstery.
