What Can Your Biker Club Do With Patches?

We've talked a lot about what an individual biker can do with biker patches (wear them, decorate with them, give them as gifts, etc.), but why would a biker club purchase patches?  There are a number of things a club might want to do with patches.  Many clubs buy wholesale patches for a few reasons.  The first is that they can buy a large number of patches at once, and while an individual might not always have the budget for that, a large club often does.  Second, the club will save a little bit of money per patch by buying in bulk.

The first the a biker club will do with its patches is give them out to members.  No, the club probably won't buy you any patch you want, but they do often give their members a custom patch with the club name on it.  They also usually give the current officers a patch that has their office name on it so that everyone can identify the club president, vice-president, etc.  This is especially helpful at large events hosted by the club where attendees may need to find someone in charge.

Speaking of these events, sometimes awards are given out for the winners of races, poker runs, or just for showing up (such as having a door prize drawing).  Patches make great inexpensive gifts for runners-up or for door prizes.  It might seem a little cheap giving out just one patch, so many clubs put together small sets of patches to give as prizes, such as a set of rocker patches or a large back patch and two smaller, related patches.  Bikers love getting gifts and they love patches, so this combination is sure to be a winner for your club.
