What to do with Duplicate Patches

If you've purchased a patch at a rally or online and then found one just like it in a drawer, you might have had one of those moments where you feel kind of stupid for spending money on something you already have.  Now what do you do with two duplicate patches?  You could always put them on two different items, but some people don't really like having the same patches on things.  That's part of the fun of patch collecting, after all, having a lot of unique looking articles of clothing.  If you've got duplicate patches, here are a few different ideas for using them.

If you're married or in a relationship, the two of you could wear matching patches.  Yes, it may get you laughed at by some of your biker friends for wearing matching patches, but some people might think it's cute, and she may appreciate it.  You could also add these patches to your saddlebags or your canvas shopping bags.

Another option is to start a patch collection.  You can buy duplicate patches and frame them or use them for decoration around your house.  If you have two or three, you could iron or sew them onto throw pillows or use them to decorate a quilt or even a table cloth.

You can always give your duplicate patches to a fellow biker as a birthday gift, Christmas gift, or a just-because gift.  You could also try reselling your duplicate patches online or at a biker rally.  If you find that you enjoy doing that, you could even look into purchasing wholesale biker patches and becoming a reseller.  You can actually make a pretty good amount of money doing so.
