Patches make great Christmas gifts; that's been established. But why? Many of them are small, so surely people will think they're cheap little gifts that don't really reflect how much you appreciate their friendship. However, bikers know the value of patches, and they appreciate these nifty gifts. There are some other reasons why you might want to use motorcycle patches as Christmas or other holiday gift.
Patches are easy gifts to buy. Because there are so many different patches, chances are the person you buy them for won't have all of them, and even if they do get a duplicate, they can use it on a new jacket or add it to their collection. There are also new patches being created all of the time. Because there's a wide variety, you can get patches that fit the recipient, making them a personal gift. As long as you know their likes and their tastes, you can find patches that fit them.
Some people aren't able to get together during the holidays because of factors such as distance. If you need to mail your holiday gift, patches are ideal. You can fit a good number of them in a padded envelop and mail them for a fairly low price, even with insurance and other extras. Because they're so light, they cost virtually nothing to mail. You could even slip one inside a Christmas card and not pay much more than the price of a regular stamp.
Another great use for patches is to put them in stocking stuffers. Small ones will fit right down inside most stockings. Larger patches, of course, may need to be wrapped since they won't fit, but that's okay, everyone loves unwrapping gifts!
