Today's patch comes from the Military Patches section. That's where you'll find the 101st Airborne patch - the official badge of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne division based out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The 101st Airborne is perhaps the most famous division in all of the U.S. Armed Forces. It is certainly the most decorated division in the Army and has been the subject of countless movies and books.
Known as the "screaming Eagles" the 101st Airborne is a light infantry division of the U.S. Army whose main mission is to carry out tactical assault operations. The division played a significant role in the D-Day invasion of Normandy as well as the infamous Battle of the Bulge. In Vietnam their most famous engagement was none other than "Hamburger Hill." Wherever there's a need for tactical assault the 101st airborne is at the ready.
I would highly recommend you DO NOT wear this patch unless you are a current or former member of the division. Doing otherwise would be an insult to the brave men and women who served so faithfully on our behalf. If you are a Screaming Eagle by all means purchase a few and wear them on your jackets or shirts. The Cheap Place shows an example of one of these patches attached to the right breast of a leather vest. The black, white, and gold color scheme looks absolutely stunning against the brown leather.
