A Patch for All Afghanistan War Vets

Afghanistan War Veteran Patch US Army RectIf you were involved in the Afghanistan War, you may have received a ribbon for your service.  This ribbon, like all U.S. Army ribbons, is a small rectangle that you wear on the left side of your dress uniform.  The Cheap Place has created a number of U.S. Army Patches that resemble these ribbons.  They are larger than the actual military ribbons, but the color scheme is exactly the same.  The Afghanistan War Veteran US Army Patch looks nice on your jacket or vest and is a nice way of showing that you were involved in this conflict.

While many people don't realize it, the War in Afghanistan has actually been going on since 1978.  It's the longest conflict the U.S. has ever been involved in.  The conflict became much more publicized in 2001 following the September 11 attacks on the United States.  However, even though many al-Qaeda terrorists have been captured or killed and the Taliban regime is no longer in power in Afghanistan, the war is not over.  A number of U.S. soldiers are still in the country serving their country.

This patch measures 4 by 1.75 inches.  The background is army green, so it will look perfect on any military jacket.  The patch features the same color scheme as the ribbon: the outer section on either side is green, followed by red, black, and white.  The center of the patch features thin lines of red, white, blue, white, and red.  The patch says Afghanistan War Veteran U.S. Army so you won't have to explain what the colors mean.

You can iron this patch onto your military jacket or, if you want to put it on a leather jacket or vest for whatever reason, you can sew it on.
