A Patch for Those From Kansas

Kansas PatchAre you from the great state of Kansas?  If so, you might want some fun Kansas patches on your jacket.  The Kansas Rocker Patch, one of the State Rockers patches, is designed to fit on the shoulder of your jacket sleeve.  It measures 4 by 1.75 inches long and has die cut borders that make it very easy to sew it on to leather.  It also has iron-on adhesive on the back for ironing it on to other materials.  This in stock patch looks very nice on any piece of clothing.

Kansas is one of the Midwestern states and is located in almost the exact middle of the U.S.  It was named after the Kansa Native American tribe, the indigenous people of the area.  Kansas was home to many different tribes.  Some build permanent villages in the area, while others followed the herds of bison.  European Americans first came to the area in the 1830s.  Kansas officially became a state in 1861, and it was the 34th state to join the Union.  Its capital was established in Topeka.

Kansas is mainly known as an agricultural state.  It produces a large amount of wheat, sunflowers, soybeans, corn, and sorghum, a grass that is used for feed grain.  The state also raises a large number of cattle, sheep, and hogs.  Kansas also produces a lot of oil and natural gas, it ranks 8th in the U.S. for both.

If you're planning a trip to Kansas, most people would visit Kansas City or Wichita.  Kansas City actually sits on the Kansas/Missouri border, with parts of the city in each state.
