A Patch to Remember 'Nam Vets

A Patch to Remember 'Nam VetsI know a lot of the items for sale at The Cheap Place are funny, vulgar, or just plain insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but every now and again you run across one that says something really important. The Vietnam Wall patch in the Military Patches section is one example. Not only does this patch catch the eye with its shape and color, but it says something very important that all Americans should heed.

The patch features two men who appear to be Vietnam vets, along with a lady, searching for names at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC. It also features an American flag to the left and a POW/MIA flag to the right. The scene that's been captured is one of stunning realism to those who have been to the wall and witnessed it themselves.

If you've never visited the memorial, you really need to do so. It's an incredibly long wall made of polished stone on which all the names of lost Vietnam veterans have been engraved. It's a sobering experience to cover the wall from one end to the other and realize the magnitude of what it means.

Vietnam vets would do well to display this patch on a jacket or vest. It's a large back patch, so no one should have trouble seeing or reading. Displaying this patch will be a reminder to folks who know nothing of your past just how important it is to you.
