Just under them is a bald eagle with its wings spread. He is perched on an army helmet with a skull underneath. The background of the patch is a badge with a portion of the flag over it. The skull is grinning in a very menacing manner and his brow appears to be furrowed. A rope banner winds around the skull and the helmet, and on it the words 'because' are on one side and 'of the' are on the other in bright white font. A silver laurel comes out from behind the chin of the skull to give it an extra level of dimension. Finally, the word 'Brave' is written on the bottom of the patch in thick silver letters.
