If You're Proud to be a Redneck, Show it With This Patch

redneck and damn proud of it PatchSome people don't want to be called a redneck or associated with people who are called rednecks.  However, some people don't find the term derogatory at all, they're proud to be who they are, even if that means other people believe they're stupid or uncultured.  The redneck culture does have its own code, and people who follow it are often very happy with their traditions and practices.  The Redneck And Damn Proud Of It! Patch is for those who don't care what others call them.  It's one of the Saying Patches.

What exactly is a redneck?  If you're not from the southern U.S., you may have never heard the term.  It's basically a derogatory slang term for poor, uneducated white people from the south.  Today, the term has also come to mean bigoted people who are opposed to change, although it's also often used for people who like hunting, working on cars, and participating in tractor pulls and lawnmower races .  It originally came from the fact that farmers who have been out working all day have a sunburnt, red neck.  Some, though, have started using the term with pride, loving the fact that their southern culture now has its own term.  Many people know the term redneck from popular comic Jeff Foxworthy, who does comedy standup routines about rednecks and has released a comedy album called 'You Might Be a Redneck If'.

If you're a redneck and you love it, add this patch to your clothing.  It measures 4 by 1.75 inches.  The text is done in white on a black background and features black die cut borders.  The patch can be sewn or ironed on to your clothing.
