Never Forget Those Who Were Lost with this Patch

Never forget those who never returned POW MIA PatchHas your family lost someone in combat?  While it's always a sad occasion when someone is killed in action, the family and friends at least know what has happened to their loved one.  However, when a soldier goes missing in action, they may never know where they died or if they even have.  Some of these soldiers were taken as prisoners of war, while others simply vanished and were never found.  This Never Forget POW MIA Patch serves as a reminder that there are lost solders out there and is a small way of honoring them for their service and their sacrifice.  It's one of the POW MIA Patches on The Cheap Place.

This patch features the symbol of the POW MIA flag that was created by the National League of Families in 1971.  The flag features the logo of that group, which is a silhouette of a man in a prison camp.  Today, the flag is mostly black with some white, but it has been many other colors, including red, white, and blue, and with reversed color (predominately white instead of black).  In 1990, Congress officially recognized the POW MIA flag as the official symbol of the nation's concern regarding the POWs and those missing in action from the conflicts in Southeast Asia and other wars.

You can fit this patch on almost any jacket or vest.  It measures 4.5 inches across by two inches tall, so it's a little taller than some sayings patches.  It's rectangular and has a heat-activated plastic backing that makes it easy to iron on.  It also has die cut black borders, so you can sew it on to leather clothing.
