New Mexico Bikers, this Patch is for You

New Mexico PatchEvery state has a patch in The Cheap Place's State Rockers section, and this one is dedicated to those from the state of New Mexico.  Like all the state rocker patches, it features the state name embroidered in white on a black arched patch.  The New Mexico patch size measures a total of four inches wide by 1.75 inches tall, and it looks really nice ironed or sewn on to the shoulder of your jacket or the front of your vest.  While most people wear this patch to show that they're from New Mexico, it can be used for various other things.  Some people collect a patch from each state they visit, while others might want to incorporate this patch into their Halloween costume if it's somehow connected to New Mexico (such as dressing as an alien from Roswell, New Mexico).

New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment, and it features some beautiful deserts and mountains.  It's one of the larger states, ranking fifth in size, but it's the sixth least densely populated of the states because a good portion of it is uninhabited desert.  Many people living in New Mexico are Native American or descended from Native Americans, especially those of the Navajo and Pueblo tribes.  There are also many Hispanic residents of the state, some of which can trace their heritage back to the Spanish colonists who settled in the area.

One thing many bikers like to do in the state is ride through some of the millions of acres of national forests.  New Mexico has some incredible views at places like the Carson National Forest or the Lincoln National Forest.  Other cool places to ride to include the Aztec Ruins National Monument and Carlsbad Caverns.
