For all you Christian bikers and patch collectors The Cheap Place offers the In God We Trust patch. You can see it in the Christian Patches section of this website. It's a 3.5" x 2.5" rectangle bearing the American flag on the left and the Christian flag on the right, both against a black background with a gold border. It's actually a pretty sharp looking piece if you ask me.
Now for a bit of history trivia. Do you know what year "In God We Trust" became the national slogan? It was officially adopted in 1956, even though the slogan had been appearing on U.S. money since the 1800s. Of course, it has resulted in numerous court cases as various secularists and atheists have complained that using the slogan violates the Constitution. But thankfully, the courts have regularly sided with the slogan, citing its historical significance and the fact that our government's institutions are historically based in the belief that there is a Supreme Being.
For you Christian bikers this patch is a great way for you to display both love of God and love of country, together. And the fact that the two are not mutually exclusive makes it all the better. You can sew the patch to a leather jacket or vest, or use the iron-on backing to apply it to denim, cotton, or just about any other fabric.
