Have you noticed that many of our fellow Americans don't know how to laugh at themselves any more? That's what I thought of when I saw the Fat Biker patch at The Cheap Place. This 3" x 2" offering is available in the IT-patches section and sports the typical white lettering against a black background. I especially love the fact that the word "fat" is a slightly larger. I assume it's for emphasis.
Look, I'm all in favor of a healthy lifestyle and taking care of oneself within reason. But I'm also all in favor of individual liberty; even if that liberty means people who are overweight choose to stay that way. As far as I'm concerned, if a biker wants to be plus sized that's his business. I'm tired of a government that feels the need to tell us what we can eat, how we should exercise, and so on. After all, we're all going to die from something right?
It's time for all you fat bikers to stand up and be counted! It's time to show the world you're proud of your body mass and have no intention of kowtowing to political correctness. This patch deserves a place of prominence on your leathers, a T-shirt, or even your bandanna. Regardless of where or how it gets displayed, the Fat Biker patch is a good way for us who are heavier to laugh at ourselves and not take things so seriously.
