This Patch Features African Colors

African Colors PatchIf you're from Africa, you may want to add a Flag Patch or two representing that continent.  There are a few of them on The Cheap Place, including this fun African Patch.  It's a standard sized flag patch done in the colors of the Pan-African nation.  While not a real nation, these three colors have been used by different organizations representing African people and African needs.  As with almost all flags, the colors on the Pan-African Flag have specific meaning.  If you're from African or if you are proud of your African heritage, you should add this patch to your jacket.

The Pan-African flag was originally called the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA) flag.  This flag was officially adopted by the UNIA in 1920.  The flag and variations of it have been used by a number of countries and territories in both Africa and in other countries to represent African values and ideology.  The red, black, and green horizontal stripes have individual meaning: red stands for the blood that unites all African people, black stands for the people of Africa, and green stands for the green savannas and forests of Africa.

This patch is done in the usual flag size of three inches wide by two inches tall.  This embroidered patch can be sewn or ironed on to your clothing (sew it on to leather, but iron it on to any other materials).  This patch is an absolute necessity for those who are proud of their African heritage.
