This Patch Implies Just What You Think It Does

Fight For The Constitution PatchBy now you've figured out that I'm not a big fan of the U.S. government. Today's topic, the Fight For The Constitution patch, is but another example of my attitude. It's a 4" rectangular patch you can find in the Patriotic Patches section - if you're interested in taking a look. It's the standard white on black rectangle that we usually see with these kinds of pieces.

Now, on to the message itself. This patch seems to imply that some would consider our own government to be an enemy. I would agree when that government violates the U.S. Constitution, which the foundation our Republic. In other words, the Constitution is the law of the land above which no individual or government entity can place itself. We are all subject to the words written therein; that includes everyone who holds public office or works in the public sector. At such time as government or individuals violate the Constitution, they immediately become enemies of the People.

That's enough for the soapbox.

If you're a patriotic American like I am, this patch might be the right piece for your collection. But if you buy it, don't put it away in a box somewhere. Attach it to your jacket, vest, baseball cap, or somewhere else people going to see it. It's a great conversation starter which will allow you to explain to some of your politically challenged friends the truth about what's going on.
