This Patch is a Conversation Starter

I saw an interesting patch in the Military Patches section at The Cheap Place. It's the We Kill For Peace patch; a 3-inch rectangular piece that I think would look awesome on the front of a beret. In fact, the patch features a skull wearing a beret in a manner that evokes images of U.S. or British special forces. The message of killing for peace jumps right out in bold white lettering which clearly leaves ambiguity on the table.

Wearing this patch on a beret or jacket is sure to get at least a few strange looks if not some verbal reaction. That's because at first glance, killing for peace is something that doesn't compute in the human mind. Killing is the antithesis of peacefulness, so how can you really "kill for peace"?

What I like about this patch is that it's good conversation starter for those who really don't understand the military. It's a great way to inform people of why the military does what it does, and what its actions accomplishes for the rest of America. The truth is, despite the fact that war is indeed ugly business, it is a necessary tool to stop the spread of evil in the world.

The We Kill For Peace patch deserves a space on your jacket, vest, or hat if you support the US military. Just be prepared to have some conversations that might possibly sway some people to the right side.
