Have you ever noticed that certain catchphrases and clichés catch on for a time in America and then simply fade away? If so, you'll love the It Is What It Is patch I found in the Biker Sayings section at The Cheap Place. It just so happens that one of the hottest catchphrases in the culture today is, "It is what it is." I hear it all the time from newscasters, sports broadcasters, and even friends and family. It's almost become a phrase used by people who have no motivation to do anything better.
This patch is a standard 3.5" x 1" rectangle utilizing white embroidery against a black background. There's certainly nothing fancy about it at all. Yet at the same time, positioned strategically on a T-shirt, jacket, or hats, it will be seen and noticed by people as they pass by. You might even get a few blank stares or an invitation to start a conversation.
It would probably look best against black leather or a very light contrasting color like faded denim. On dark brown it would probably wash out and be hard to notice. Fortunately, you can apply it with a hot iron if you're mounting it on fabrics like cotton, polyester, etc. But since the heat activated glue doesn't work with leather, you'll have to use needle and thread if you want to mount it on your chaps, vest, or leather jacket. What can I say - it is what it is.
