While it doesn't always seem like it to the average person, freedom isn't always free. In fact, many people have given their lives to ensure that we have the freedoms we do. These brave men and women are soldiers, police officers, pilots, firefighters, and even politicians and journalists. They go into dangerous situations, often voluntarily, and end up sacrificing themselves so that our freedoms can remain. The Freedom Isn't Free Patch - Embroidered can be a daily reminder of this. It's found in the 2nd Amendment Patches section of The Cheap Place.
The patch features red text, a red border, and a red drop of blood. This graphic shows exactly what freedom costs: blood. It takes a lot of spilled blood to guarantee that we live in a free country. Sometimes we forget to give thanks to those who decide to put themselves out there and risk being hurt or worse to protect the freedoms of others. Sometimes, the freedoms they're fighting for aren't even their own, but they fight for them anyway because they believe everyone has these basic rights.
This patch is red on black and measures 3.5 by 1.5 inches. You can iron it on to most materials by applying heat to the adhesive on the back. However, don't do this with leather, it will ruin the material. Instead, you'll want to sew it on.
