Halloween is almost here, and before we know it, it'll be Thanksgiving and then Christmas. With the holiday season now in full swing, it will be one decoration change after another. Those ghosts and bats will come down and turkeys and pilgrims will go up. Then it will be time to get out all those Christmas decorations and deck the halls. While there are many different types of decorations out there, no one ever really thinks that your motorcycle patches could be used to decorate. They can be, though, especially some of the ones that are a little more connected to the holidays.
Some of the wild animal patches you can find look great when put on throw pillows or even long draped pieces of cloth. Some ferocious wolves, spiders, and even fantastic animals like dragons make great Halloween decorations. Here's another idea: Take some black fabric and create chair covers for your dining room chairs. Then add a patch in the center of this fabric. You could even make a matching tablecloth or table runner if you don't mind using a lot of patches.
Skulls are another nice option for Halloween decorations. There are many different skull patches out there, including some that look really spooky and scary.
Another great idea is to put patches on your kids trick-or-treat bags. You can use any plain canvas bag, although black or orange are nice Halloween colors. Just add a few scary patches and head out to collect the treats!
While wild animals and skulls work very well for Halloween, there are other patches out there that you can use for different holidays: four leaf clovers for St. Patrick's Day, U.S. flags for the Fourth of July, and military patches for Veterans Day.
