Looking for a nice, large patch to put on the back of a jacket or vest? If you love Native American artwork and designs, you might want to take a look at the End of the Trail Patch. It's very colorful, very detailed, and looks really nice. This patch features the statue 'End of the Trail' along with two feathers and other decorations. It can be found in the Native American Patches category and under the Large Back Patches section.
The main feature of this patch is the image of the End of the Trail statue in the center of a hide stretched across a hoop. This famous statue was created by sculptor James Earle Fraser in 1915. It's his most famous work. He created the statue for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition and originally intended to bronze it, but because of World War I, bronze was scarce at the time. Over the years, the plaster began to deteriorate, but in 1968, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City restored the statue and displays it today.
The whites and blues in the feathers on the bottom of the patch add a nice contrasting color to the orange and yellow hide. The hoop that surrounds most of the patch also features a few little colorful ties and details. The patch measures eight inches across by ten inches tall, although it's not regularly shaped. This large patch can be ironed on to the back of your jacket or vest to give it a new look. For leather materials, it can easily be sewn on because the entire patch is outlined with a thick die cut border.
