Iron on Instructions: Use a Heat Press for 30 seconds set at 280 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Tips for Ironing on Patch: Plug in iron. Crank it to highest setting. Place iron on top of your garment with a frying pan thermometer sandwiched between iron and garment to start the preheating process. Once temperature reaches 280 Degrees Fahrenheit unplug your iron. Temperature will continue to rise and then start to decline. Once it declines to 280 Degrees Fahrenheit, Slide the iron, place your patch and put the iron on top of your patch and press as hard as you can for 30 seconds without moving the iron around. Do not mess with the patch until it has completely cooled down. Do not iron on patches to Leather or Nylon! Watch Video

There are a lot of different flag patches available. Some are pretty standard, while others take the U.S. red, white, and blue and apply it to a different shape or do something a bit unusual with it. The American Flag Shield Patch takes the design and puts it on a shield that resembles the shape of some US highway signs and badges. It features the classic red, white, and blue colors but also adds yellow to make the USA stitching really stand out.

The patch is a bit different because it only really shows half the flag. The stars and stripes sections are about the same, and there's a plain blue area above the stars with USA embroidered on it. If you're tired of all those rectangular flag patches but still want to show your patriotic colors, this is a good option. The thick yellow die cut borders really make the patch stand out, and they're also a little unusual, most patches feature a black border.

Where did this design come from? You'll usually see this shield design for highway signs, but it also appears as an actual shield in a few places. Comic book hero Captain America has a shield that somewhat resembles this shape, although he's more known for the round shield.
