I don't know why, but I'm feeling very much like a rebel these last couple of days. Maybe it's due to all the crap we've had to put up with from Washington this past year...or maybe it's just something I ate. Regardless, the rebellious part of my personality loves the Rebel Eagle patch at The Cheap Place. You can find it in their Eagle Patches category if you want to take a look at it yourself. It bears a rather formidable looking American Eagle with spread wings; the left wing is the Union Jack while the right wing is Old Glory. Underneath, the banner says, "American by Birth Rebel by Choice."
The Rebel Eagle patch comes in two sizes. The larger one is an excellent choice for a back patch if you're an independent biker who doesn't belong to a club. The smaller version looks good just about anywhere. What I love about this patch is the fact that it shows the rebellious nature of Americans. Our country was born in rebellion to the British, and it was almost torn apart by the rebellion of the South in the 1800s. We are fiercely independent people who don't like government intrusion into our lives.
If I were a biker with a leather vest this would be one patch that would be an absolute must-have for me. Since I'm not, perhaps I'll still get one and sew it onto the back of my heavy winter coat. Hmmm...sounds like a plan!
