A Patch Inspired by James Bond?

Live And Let Ride PatchI saw the Live and Let Ride patch in the IT-Patches section and the first thing I thought of was was the old James Bond flick "Live and Let Die". That was a great flick! Of course the Beatles recorded the theme song for that movie; perhaps you're familiar with it. Either way, I wonder...where did the inspiration for this patch come from?

I seriously doubt it was inspired by the movie or the song. It probably came from the old American idiom "live and let live". That's the idea that we are all free to live as we please, within reason and the law, even if that means living as a biker. It was a pretty popular idiom back during the days of the Civil War. You might even make the case that the idea is as important to the biker culture as "ride free or go home.'

This patch is a bit different than most, primarily because of its color. But that's cool because the orange lettering really makes it stand out against dark colors like brown or black. Sewn on the shoulder of your leather jacket it would really catch the eye. You could iron it to a hat or jean jacket or even glue it to your seat or gas tank. I know, I know - defacing your bike isn't cool. But if you're okay with it don't worry what anyone else thinks. After all, live and let ride - right?
