David Koresh Would Love This Patch

ATF should be a convenience store patchIt's back to the Biker Sayings category for today's post. This time I'm referring to the ATF Should Be A Convenience Store patch; a yellow, white, and black piece that puts the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in the proper perspective. Like the patch says, the ATF ought to be a convenience store. I'm sure the sentiments expressed here are shared by a many gun user, smoker, and drinker around the country.

Seriously, what I want to know is who is the Einstein who decided to lump these three things together in a single entity? It's obvious that high alcohol consumption and firearms don't play well together, isn't it? Anyway, I agree that Americans should be able to freely purchase all three items without government interference. Too bad we don't live in a perfect world - we live in a world of David Koresh and Janet Reno.

This patch is a 4" x 1.75" rectangle with die-cut borders and heat-activated glue on the back. It's small enough that you can probably attach it using a hot iron without worrying it will fall off in a week or so. The glue works very well on most fabrics. Personally, I'm thinking this patch would be a perfect fit for a nylon gun bag or ammo bag. If you've got a vintage military ammo box, a little bit of super glue on the back of the patch and you'll be good to go.
