Believe it or not, there are plenty of us non-vets who are rabid supporters of our military. Thank goodness for the To All Our Troops I Thank You patch that just arrived to the Small Cool Patches section at The Cheap Place. Finally there's a patch we can wear to show support for our troops without fear of violating the sacred bond between those who have served.
If you don't understand what I mean just consider the fact that most veteran's patches imply the wearer is indeed a veteran. That doesn't sit well sometimes when it's discovered that's not the case. But now, I can attach this patch to a T-shirt and wear it proudly without worrying about offending. I can put it on a baseball cap, a winter hat; even attach it to my athletic bag or my vinyl lunch cooler. But I suppose if I want to get the maximum use from it, I have to choose a location that will be seen quite often. Or maybe I could just buy three or four.
Perhaps you're the family member of a veteran. This patch would be ideal for you too. If nothing else it would probably spark some conversations which would enable you to tell plenty of stories about your loved one and how he or she served in the military. Those kinds of personal, heartwarming stories remind people that to every soldier's story there is also a real, human side.
