Just Because I Wear a Triker Patch...

Triker PatchHave you seen the new Honda Spider motorcycle? That's what prompted today's selection of the Triker Patch. If you haven't seen it, it's in the Biker Patches section at The Cheap Place. I saw it, and the first thing I thought of was me tooling down the road on a bright red Honda Spider with this patch proudly sewn on the front of my jacket. If being a biker is about being free and individual, what could be more so than riding one of these 3-wheeled beasts?

I suppose, in the truest sense of the word, the spider wouldn't qualify as a trike. The traditional classification among motorcycles is one with two rear wheels and a single front wheel. The spider is inverted in the sense that it has two front wheels with a single on the back. In terms of the cool factor, I think these things rock!

So, the Triker patch would fit right in with the Spider and my propensity to be oddly different. Fortunately, like most of the patches at The Cheap Place, you can iron this one on just about any fabric thanks to a heat-sensitive backing. If you're going to attach it to leather you can't iron it on, but the die-cut edges make it easy to sew.

If you're ever down in sunny Florida in the next couple of years, and you see a 40-something man driving a spider and wearing a Triker patch, wave. It'll most likely be me.
