Every now and again I come across a patch at The Cheap Place offering a probing question or remark. Such is the case with the If God is Your Copilot Try Switching Seats patch. It's a small 4" patch you can find in the Christian Patches section, and it hits those of us who are Christian believers square between the eyes.
You see, God should never be anyone's copilot; he ought to be the pilot. In fact, you could make the case that you and I shouldn't even be in the cockpit at all. We would be better off in the passenger cabin while the heavenly Trinity handles all responsibilities of pilot, copilot, and navigator. For Christian bikers, this patch says that it's not good enough just to love your Harley and the freedom of the open road, you also have to turn control over to the Higher Power.
The Cheap Place has a lot of awesome patches aimed squarely at Christian bikers. Not that I need to tell you, because most of you are already pretty evangelistic on your own, but these patches are a great way to get the message of the good news out. You have access to a whole subculture of people that most of us never come in contact with. Proudly displaying these patches on your clothing, and then backing them up with proper behavior, is an incredible ministry opportunity. Just make sure God is the pilot and everything will work out fine.
