The Rebel Biker Patch

Rebel Biker PatchOkay all you rebels, today's patch is just for you - the Rebel Biker patch found in the Patriotic Patches section. It's a 10" rectangle with the Confederate flag on the left side and the word "BIKER" on the right. A black background makes the two foreground images stick out pretty well. Yet what I find most intriguing about it is its sheer size.

At 10" it is almost as long as a standard piece of notebook paper, and at 3.5" inches wide it reminds me of the name strips on the back of a football or hockey jersey. In other words, this patch seems to be ideal for the shoulder area of your jacket or vest. It's large enough that in the shoulder position it would naturally drawn the eye as you pass by. Underneath you could have a back patch from your club, or something more generic if you don't belong to a club, and tie it all together with a rocker patch underneath.

As far as the message, it goes without saying that bikers are rebels by nature. I mean, why do you ride? Because you love the freedom of the open Road; you love to go where and when you want; you don't like to be tied down by traditional society. This patch is the perfect emblem for the attitude of the biker. So, if you have open space on the shoulders of your vest or jacket, this is a patch that would fill that space nicely.
