The Security Officer's Shoulder Patch

security officer PatchToday's post goes out to all of you security company owners and your officers. I've chosen the Security Officer patch from the Police Patches section just for little something different. Most of what I talk about in these posts has to do with biker themes, political statements, or social commentary. But today's post is from a different perspective.

First of all, if you're the owner of a small or "just starting" security company you're probably looking for ways to keep costs down. One of the things you can do this bu plain, less expensive uniforms and jackets and then sew the patches on yourself. The Security Officer patch is a 3" piece in black and gold so it should look good on most uniforms - whether they are blue, brown, black, or gray. The patch is also the perfect size for the shoulder.

As for you officers, perhaps you have to provide your own coats and jackets during cold weather. If so, this patch helps identify you as a security officer even though you're wearing a civilian coat. But even if you don't wear a civilian jacket on the job you might want to display the patch on your biker jacket just to let your fellow bikers know what you do for a living.

The patch does have an iron on backing but be warned, it doesn't work well on leather. You might also not trust it with nylon, but you can apply it with any other fabric.
