Today's post deals with another one of those patches that I'm not quite sure how I feel about. I'm referring to the Life Is Too Short To Wait In Traffic patch, found in the Biker Patches section. I guess I'm not sure how I feel about it because I don't know which way to take it.
If the is to say bikers should get on the open road where they can ride free I have no problem with it. But if it is suggesting what I see far too often in the city, I can't tolerate that. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I see a biker's all the time driving between lanes of cars during a traffic jam, or scooting up the shoulder on either side of the road. Not only is that dangerous, but it's also both illegal and inconsiderate. Just because a biker has a smaller and more mobile vehicle is not a license to "cheat the system."
Now that I have that off my chest this patch is one would fit great on of the breast or shoulder of a leather jacket or vest. It would also work well on a hat, T-shirt, bandanna, or even to the rear pocket of a pair of jeans. Just be sure that wherever you mount it, it can be easily seen and read. It's sure to spark some conversation wherever you go - just don't break the law while getting there.
