Daytona International Speedway Vending Spots

It is a pain in the neck finding vendor information on Daytona international speedway official site. I’ve dug in there and pulled out all the information needed to become a vendor at the speedway for the bike week 2010.

First of all Bike Week event for the Speedway is called the Daytona 200 Week. At this page there is a link that says Vendor Display Information. Basically a form which you can download and fax over to receive more information. There is no point in me copying and pasting all these forms here, just follow the link for Daytona 200 Week and you should see it right there in the middle to download the form which you should than fax over according to the instructions below it.

Be prepared to have some kind of liability insurance because they will require it along other paperwork which they will let you know once they send you over a vendor packet. I won’t be vending at any particular spot during bike week. I’ll just be going around visiting vendors trying to get them to carry some of my biker patches. You might be a sunglass vendor or a tshirt vendor, but why not give patches a shot? They take up no room at all in the trailer. You really can fit $20,000 worth of patches in a small box. I’ve got some great saying patches that always make people stop and read over them. Makes your tent look busy and don’t forget crowd attracts the crowd.

I know I hate shopping, especially when my wife is looking over things in a store. I always rush her because I’m just bored and don’t want to stare in to blank space while she picks something out. I’m sure you’ve seen the same situation many times in your tent where the wife wants to look around but the husband is telling her to come on lets go. Well these saying patches will give the husband something to do while the wife shops in peace. Give them a try, wholesale prices are highly attractive on these items with great profit margins. And remember, they take no room at all in the trailer. You can always staple them on boards and hang them up instead of taking up table space (although items displayed on tables will always outsell items displayed on walls, people simply like to touch and feel over a table vs. reach over for something hanging vertically).

Well more vendor tips in future blogs, I need to stick to the point and this article should only be about vending at the Speedway. Good Luck to you all. Please don’t blame me for failing at a spot I recommend. I only talk from past experiences of what I’ve seen. I can’t predict the future. I do not get nor want any commissions for my referrals. I don’t want anyone getting the idea that I tap people in because they pay me. That is not the case, and will never be the case. As you can see I take no advertisements from anyone. I would rather make an honest living selling my patches than collect ad revenues from bullshitters and display their unreal claims to my readers.

Start Questioning why New Laws are Passed?

Have you ever wondered about why our government comes up with new laws? Well I have. But I stopped assuming new laws are put in place for the security and well being of the People. I began deep questioning a few things. Why is the law written and who is answering the why question. What’s his agenda? I turn the news on and hear about a new law being passed and I am told this is why they’ve made it the law. I’ve yet to find a news channel that tells me all the ups and downs of what this new law does. I either hear them bashing the law or approving of it. Why don’t you just tell me these. Who petitioned for the law? Who does he work for? Who wrote the law? Did the government members that passed the law actually read what it said? Were they under pressure from interest groups to pass it or say goodbye to the country club?

Let me give you an example. Last Thanksgiving I was at my wife’s uncle’s house talking to one of my in-laws who used to be a farmer here in Florida. I was telling him about my grandfather’s farming experiences in Turkey. About how back in the days when he was raising pigs for slaughter he would go and visit the local army base picking up all the left over foods with his pickup truck and hauling it back to his farm to feed his pigs. We just did not like to waste, it was more understood as a sin and it is probably a good thing not to waste.  If you can find something useful to do with left overs then why not do it? Feed your dog the left overs. Does the vet tell you, you should only give dog food to your dog. I would like that vet to eat the same food everyday for the rest of his life. Maybe he will live longer, maybe he will never get an upset stomach, but if that’s life than I wouldn’t want to go through it. Back to the story. After telling my in-law about the story he said yes we used to do the same thing until they passed a law banning it. He said at first they made us boil the left overs before giving it to farm animals. Then a few years later they totally abolished it. No more feeding left overs to your farm animals. Why? Well the reason he was told was because it was unsanitary. That’s why the government had passed the new law, because apparently they were looking after the health of the people who would consume these animals. Is that so? You can choose to believe it, but here is the way I see it.

Now what happens when you can’t feed your animals left overs, what do you do? Well you have to buy feed when you were getting it for free before. And who benefits from the law. Well the feed producers definitely benefit as farmers are now forced to buy feed. Apparently their feed is totally healthy for the animals. I wonder if the feed producers had anything to do with talking to lawmakers to make this happen. Or did the lawmakers come up with this law for the benefit of the People? Lets question the downsides and weigh them to see if this law really actually benefited the People. So now we can no longer use left overs to feed animals. Don’t worry the world has unlimited resources, who cares, lets throw it all to waste, so it can sit in a landfill doing nothing. Was it really unhealthy to feed the pigs with leftovers? Is the alternative feed you have to pay for actually healthy for the animals and it will not make us sick? Ever heard of Kevin’s Law (which I don’t believe has been passed)? Apparently back a few years ago a child named Kevin died from eating meat that had E-coli. A new strain of E-Coli that developed in cows because the cow which for generations ate grass in open fields was now only fed a corn based feed which did not agree with the cows digestive system. So did whoever passed this law forbidding the use of leftovers to feed animals was really thinking of People’s health? Or were they thinking about the interest of the feed producers? It’s open to comment, please sign up, make an account and post your thoughts.

I can tell you one thing, our government has stopped working for its People. The sad part is, if they want to sell us a new law it’s very easy for them to do so. Why? Because the majority of us have not been given the education to question things. If the government tells me something, it must be in the best interest of me. Ideally that’s the way it should be but let’s remember we do not live in an ideal world. Although Presidents will buy your votes telling you they will make education better in this country, none of them will follow, because it is in their best interest to keep you stupid. All they want is a sheep population that agrees and doesn’t question their agenda.

My name is Erhan and I will keep writing articles with hopes to awaken the People of the United States.  We the People must connect our own dots. Don’t let Fox, CNN or ABC connect the dots for you. Who knows whose interest they are after. Don’t be afraid to raise your voice, ask questions. If you do, you will only enslave yourself.

Back to the States

Flying back home to the states early in the morning tomorrow (20th). Although there is quite a good amount of snow piling up in Istanbul right now. Keeping my fingers crosses not to spend hours waiting at the airport with two toddlers. Hope to make it in town to Daytona after connecting through Milan and Atlanta. Really need to make it back on Wednesday evening as scheduled and take care of all the piling online orders as promised by the 21st Thursday.  I thank all my customers for their dear patience and understanding. Will have all my new biker patches up by the end of the week, including some new designs for Daytona bike week.

Cheaper Patches Anywhere?

I’m cruising the web to see if anyone else is out there selling patches cheaper than I do here. The only place I see are some ebay sellers that are trying to get rid of their old used patches or selling bootleg brand merchandize. However, if anyone finds anywhere that sells them for cheaper then I would like to know. Please feel free to make a comment here including the web address of the same patch that I feature here at a lower price. I made a promise to offer all my items at bare minimum and if I can’t beat their price I’m going to offer the link to the guy who sells them for less (so long as they are selling the same quality embroidered iron on patch that is genuine, NOT bootlegged). I don’t believe anyone out there can offer the same service that I do, shipping the same day the order is received, running free shipping deals all the time.

Angel Wings Patch and New Designs coming early in 2010

A new year to me means, get to work and come up with some new designs. While I was away this year visiting family in Turkey I’ve been busy at work designing some new patches.  Last year I came up with an angel wings design after seeing a lot of lady riders wearing them and asking for them. So this year I’ve come up with two different colorful versions of them. I’ve already put them up on the site for you to place a pre order at a special low price of $9.99.  I expect to get them in by mid February and start shipping them out. Altogether I expect to add about 50 different styles in a month. I was just so excited about how nice the embroidery work on the new angel wings patch turned out that I wanted to make a post about it here. Take a look at the pictures below and click on it to buy them if you like. Remember although my shipping deals change frequently, at the moment any order you place over $30 qualifies for free shipping.  You can find more about my shipping deals. Enjoy the pictures.
