When it comes to social programs, The U.S. is a little contradictory at times.  While the government has set up a number of welfare programs to help the needy, sometimes it seems like these programs are simply rewarding those who have learned how to work the system, while those who really need help get left out in the cold.  These programs do sometimes work, but it’s definitely true that they don’t always work exactly like they should.  Some people certainly get help when they don’t truly need it, and some who truly need it find themselves denied.  This Are You Sure Welcome to America Patch points this out by asking this important question: “So the more I make, the more they tax, and if I don’t work, they give me money…Are you sure?  Welcome to America.”
