Being that today is Memorial Day in the U.S., I wanted to write about a patch today that would be appropriate to the occasion. I chose the Brothers Forever Biker Cap patch which you can find in the US Veterans Patches section. It's a 5-inch patch depicting a vet at the grave of a fallen brother, paying his respects. Alongside him is his motorcycle. This patch is not only appropriate for Memorial Day, but to be permanently worn by all of you bikers who are also surviving veterans.
On the bottom the patch says, "fallen but not forgotten." Indeed, that is what our celebration of Memorial Day is all about. On this day we recognize all of the soldiers who have fought in various wars around the world and laid down their lives on behalf of their countrymen. It is a solemn day of remembrance as well as a day to rejoice in the freedom that our nation offers to all would come to our shores.
This patch is one that definitely deserves a place of respect on your hat, vest, or jacket. It is not one to be taken lightly, as many others are, but one that should motivate us to heed the words embroidered on the bottom. We must never forget the ultimate sacrifice so many have made in order to ensure our freedom. For in the day we do forget, the same will be the day when our freedom will be taken away.
