  • Tips for Ironing on Patch: Plug in iron. Crank it to highest setting. Place iron on top of your garment with a frying pan thermometer sandwiched between iron and garment to start the preheating process. Once temperature reaches 280 Degrees Fahrenheit unplug your iron. Temperature will continue to rise and then start to decline. Once it declines to 280 Degrees Fahrenheit, Slide the iron, place your patch and press the iron on top of your patch as hard as you can for 30 seconds without moving the iron around. Do not mess with the patch until it has completely cooled down. A household iron will not work as good as a heat press. Do not iron on patches to Leather or Nylon. Watch Video

  • Description - Safety Second Patch:

Anybody can do 'safety first', right? Absolutely. That message has been beaten to death. We have an alternative: safety second. You can see it right here on this embroidered biker patch. It is black-and-white. No ambiguity here.

So what does it mean to focus on safety second? It means to get out there and live your life while taking appropriate risks. It means not being so cautious that life loses its appeal. Truth be told, we can be too cautious for our own good. We can be so afraid of taking risks that we never accomplish anything. That is no way to live.

The Safety Second patch is a tongue-in-cheek way of expressing the fact that you are okay with taking risks. Why not sew it to your leather jacket or vest? After all, you are a biker. We all know that riding a motorcycle is inherently more risky than driving a car. But to you, the risk is worth it. It's worth it to enjoy the feeling of riding down the open road while the wind is slapping you in the face.

You enjoy the biker lifestyle so much that you wouldn't live any other way – despite the fact that there are some risks that come with it. That's what this particular patch is all about. Make 'safety second' your slogan. Make it your life's byline.

The Safety Second patch measures 4 x 1.5 inches. It is small enough to attach to the flap of a front pocket. It would work nicely just below an American flag patch or on either side of a back patch.

Our patches are intended mainly for veterans and bikers. Still, anyone who enjoys decorating clothing with embroidery is welcome at The Cheap Place. We have something for everyone, regardless of tastes and preferences.
